Have You Tried Turning It Off and Back On Again?

Jul 20 2010 Published by Sarah, etc. under Geekery, Gratuitous Movie Quote

Okay, for the resurrected &c version of the Wednesday Soupcon of Geekery, I’m going to start with The IT Crowd, which I have been watching compulsively for two weeks now. I can’t stop and I never want to.

No, there you go, I just heard it come on. No, that’s the music you hear when it comes on. No, that’s the music you hear when… I’m sorry, are you from the past?

William Shatner, Sarah Palin, and overall beatnikery? Yes, please!

I’m pretty sure “visit that elephant in my underwear” should be a euphemism for doing something really, really awesome.

Getting It On with Riker

Dec 08 2009 Published by Sarah, etc. under Geekery

Today’s QC has been the subject of much discussion among me and my lady friends Honu Girl and Chez. We all agree that we could very well get it on with Riker watching. And in fact, that we might get it on that much better with Riker. Or we’d definitely want to get it going with Riker. Because he is the smexiest man on the Enterprise. And I told Chez, you know, if you had to phone up a Starfleet officer for a booty call, it would def be Riker.

But then I started to wonder…. And Kirk is the only guy I think could come close to rocking my world like Riker would. And by “rock” I mean rock, with some Barry White action, twice, and then we’d meet again like a year later and he would rock it twice more. And then, he would tell stories to other Starfleet officers about me, but only using vague identifying details, giving the impression that I, too, rocked his world.

What do you think?

You fool! What you fail to realize is that without your armor my ship will tear through yours like tissue paper!

Point of interest: The guy who played Sarris, Robin Sachs, also played Ethan Rayne in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Where are You Going with All Those Fireworks?

Well, the Protector got super accelerated coming out of the black hole, and it site – nailed the atmosphere at mark 16, which, you guys know, is pretty unstable obviously, so we’re gonna help Laredo guide it on the vox ultra-frequency carrier and use Roman Candles for visual confirmnation.
